How to Make a Pedestal Bowl Centerpiece

How to Make a Pedestal Bowl Centerpiece

If you have a pedestal cake stand, some bowls and a vase, you can make an impressively tall centerpiece. This centerpiece will add elegance to a round table in a foyer and is a great addition to the dining table. The vertical flower arrangement could also be used at wedding tables. You can make your own pedestal cake stand with a drinking glass and a plate by attaching the glass to the center bottom of the plate with epoxy glue.

Instructions

    1

Roll the putty into long snakes and press them to the bottoms of the bowls and the vase to help secure them to the completed structure.

    2

Place the cake stand inside one of the bowls. Place the second bowl on top of the cake stand. Place the thin tall vase in the second bowl.

    3

Stick the Scotch tape across the open areas of the bottom bowl, creating a grid with 1-inch openings. Repeat, creating a tape grid over the open areas of the top bowl.

    4

Fill the bowls and vase with water. Add 1 Tbsp. flower saver granules to each bowl and the vase.

    5

Insert at least one flower sprig stem in each grid over the bowls. Insert flower sprigs in the vase.
