Though you may not be reaching the heights that you desire, you can always make yourself feel taller by measuring yourself in inches. Height in the United States is usually a combined measurement of feet and inches, though sometimes it is given as feet with an added decimal amount. Converting your height to all inches is relatively simple and requires that you just take advantage of a foot's dozen of inches, all the while not neglecting the inches in the original measurement.
Instructions
- 1
Separate the height in feet from the height in inches if the height measurement is given as a combination of both. For an example, if the height is 5 feet, 8 inches, separate it into two measurements of 5 feet and 8 inches.
2Multiply the foot part of the measurement by 12 to convert it to inches. For this example, 5 multiplied by 12 equals 60.
3Add the converted feet to the inch amount from the original measurement. For this example, 60 plus 8 equals 68. A height of 5 feet, 8 inches converts to 68 inches.
